The 2019 edition saw 3 young emerging artists guests from 22 July to 12 August at Palazzo Previtera, in the Etna village of Linguaglossa (CT), for three weeks of creativity and accompanied by workshops with exceptional speakers. A workshop on art and material history was held by Oprhah Shemesh, an internationally renowned American artist and collaborator of Cy Twombly and Meyer Shapiro. In this workshop the students learned how to create an emulsion of paint with egg, beer and tempera.

Briana Pegado, Director and Co-Founder of Edinburgh Students Art Festival, held a workshop on psychology and art communication. The famous Israeli artist Guy Yanai, godfather of Citronella, opened the public vernissage held on August 9 at the end of the program.

Artists 2019.

Adrian Schacter.  An artist from New York City. A surreal, primitive and wild nature emerges in the works of Adrian Schachter, made in Linguaglossa; a nature that is also spiritual and romantic. To the primacy of the sensory perception he opposes the value of the inner gaze, capable of probing worlds Unknown. Nature has become the original place, the principle of energy against place of the social, excessively structured of the New York metropolis. In the depiction of emerges the Renaissance tradition, which sees in animals presences important aspects of nature, but represented by the artist, with a personal and contemporary. In the works of this young artist, inspiration is the main theme, since in the impulse of the heart lies the source of creativity:"Close your physical eye so as to to see the image primarily with the eye of the spirit." C.D. Friedrich, Writings on Art.
Iseult Perrault. During her stay in Sicily, in Linguaglossa, was attracted by the stone and above all by the volcanic stone of Etna, which releases strength and energy, a symbol of the primordial natural elements. His installations set in motion a process of transformation of the dynamism of nature. His works are born from research, analysis and from the observations of life itself. Even in paintings, the natural element is expressed in an overlapping of decorative elements that make his works suggestive.
The art of Iseult Perrault is an experimental art in the making, which sets in motion a process of mutation of the work itself.
Luke George . For Luke George, color is an essential stylistic element of his perception of reality, inspired by the expressionist movement, the image does not remain tied to the figurative module, but increases its propulsive force through an openness to a language more abstract. The long brushstrokes of color become the language of the artist who expresses himself in open and polysemic representations. His works inspired by the colors of the Sicilian summer, have undergone an increase in intensity and emotional depth reminiscent of the tones of the fire and energy of the Etna volcano, creating interesting aesthetic suggestions.
