SARP presents Søren Sejr's exhibition "From Ashes to Paint," showcasing ten paintings and a site-specific installation. Inspired by architecture and anthropology, Sejr’s work explores the relationship between space, cultural identity, and landscape. His minimalist paintings use layering and color distribution to create emotional vibrations and tension, with black and white contrasts evoking volcanic landscapes. Sejr’s installation includes industrial elements like an iron crane, referencing Sicilian architecture and construction techniques. This exhibition encourages reflection on the interplay between the natural environment and the act of painting, blending materials, signs, and metaphors to deepen the viewer’s interpretation of space and identity.
