KEVIN RAUSCH SEEING THE INVISIBLE
In his paintings, the presence of a community of cats that live free, whom becomes metaphors of his imaginal vision of the world that surrounds him, are images outside of a delimited space-time relationship. The non-place or u-topia is the vision of happiness, a freedom in which the artist gets lost and projects the possibilities of a better world, or rather of the many possibilities. In Rausch's sculptures (recycled paper- papier mache), unlike the paintings, the support is instead identified in the current space and time. Its appearance fills a certain extent of the visual field. In this case, the artist carries out the production of a fiction in which he produces the world of objects, the setting, and the characters of a theatrical work, thus allowing the user to participate in this adventure in which art is theatre but it is also life: the lived experience.
