HENRIK PLACHT BEY ARMUDO

17 August  - 20 September 2024

SARP presents Henrik Placht's exhibition Bey Armudu, named after the Turkish word for "bergamot," referencing both the fruit and the plant. This title reflects the inspiration Placht drew from his time in Linguaglossa, where he resided at Palazzo Previtera. The surrounding volcanic landscape of Mount Etna and the gardens of the estate deeply influenced his work. The exhibition showcases woollen rugs, watercolors, and paintings created during his residency in Sicily, highlighting his gestural technique through vibrant colors and marks.
