SARP Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition titled Diente de leche — milk tooth by Ximena Maldonado Sanchez (b. 1999, Irapuato ,Mexico) — alludes to a cycle of destruction, rebirth, and alchemy that unfolds both in ourselves and in the landscape. In volcanic territory, these cycles are vital: eruptions bury and preserve objects, plants, and minerals while creating the fertile soil where new life takes root. This idea refers to the word ‘dagala,’ patches or islands of vegetation emerging from volcanic landscapes.
